Flipr Connect

The Flipr Connect gateway is a device that collects the measurements emitted by your Flipr and retransmits them to our servers through your Wifi network. It is imperative to provide it with the connection information of your Wifi network. Flipr Connect only works on 2.4 GHz Wifi networks. The installation of Flipr Connect is proposed when configuring your Flipr AnalysR but can be done or modified through the Settings / Gateways menu. If Flipr Connect is not configured correctly or disconnected, the data will not arrive in the application. Its range is approximately 40 meters.

Connect Flipr Connect to a USB socket and covered by your Wifi network. A light should come on
Select your Flipr Connect. Its name starts with G.
Select the Wifi network you want to connect to. On iPhone, only the network on which your phone is connected will appear. 
Enter your Wifi password, respecting capital letters and symbols.
A few seconds after confirming your settings, the LED should turn green, possibly with a blue flash.

Click on "Menu." 

Select "Settings." 

Click on "Add a gateway." 

Select the gateway. 

Select the Wi-Fi network.

Led Colors : 
  1. White : Flipr Connect is not configured or the wifi network is not connected correctly. A blue flash may appear which indicates the proximity of the Flipr
  2. Purple : Flipr Connect is being configured by the application. A blue flash may appear which indicates the proximity of the Flipr
  3. Green : Flipr Connect is configured and connected to Wifi. A blue flash may appear indicating the proximity of the Flipr
  4. Blue : Flipr Connect displays a relatively fast blue flash if your AnalysR is in range. This is good news!
Note 

Congratulations, you are connected! Data from your Flipr should arrive on our system every 75 minutes. If you need to reconfigure, go to the Settings / Gateways menu. The data will now be captured by Flipr Connect. Do not unplug it and leave it in range or you will not receive the measurements.

Range

In theory, the Flipr Connect can receive data up to 50 meters, in direct view. However, walls, windows, shutters and pool covers can greatly limit the range. Also the frequencies used are absorbed by water, so Flipr will be difficult to see if it is underwater (pool cover). Check the blue dot on the bridge.

Wifi 2.4
Flipr Connect's Wi-Fi only works in 2.4 GHz. Please make sure that your wifi network supports this frequency. Wifi networks that only work in 5 GHz or 6/5 GHz will not allow you to connect Flipr Connect. Please change the settings on your box so that Flipr Connect is active. The LED should be green to indicate connection, with blue flashes to indicate that Flipr is in range.

Known issues
  • USB connector fragility: Some gateways have a fragility issue with the USB connector, which can detach during installation.
    => Replacement free of charge.
  • Certain phones have difficulty connecting to the gateway during setup or when accessing settings.
    => Try using another phone to configure the gateway.
  • A few gateways have an electronic problem that prevents Bluetooth communication.
    => Replacement free of charge.
Once the Wifi Connect gateway is configured and connected to Wi-Fi, there is no longer a need to access it via Bluetooth.
