Fine calibration of Flipr ph probe from Flipr

Fine and Offline Calibration

We are pleased to inform you that Flipr is launching a brand new procedure forfine and offline calibrationfor all Flipr.

Calibration

Flipr calibration is an essential step in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of its intelligent sensors designed for pool management and optimization. As you know, Flipr is a remarkable tool that real-time monitors your pool water quality, measuring crucial settings such as pH, chlorine, temperature, and much more. However, in order for these measurements to remain reliable and relevant, it is imperative to regularly calibrate your Flipr.
Calibration, in this context, means that you adjust the pH reference values of your Flipr
The probes are factory calibrated however storage, transport and calibration mode can make this calibration obsolete.

It allows:
  1. Accuracy of measurements: Regular calibration ensures that pH, chlorine, and other parameters closely correspond to reality. This allows you to make informed decisions about the maintenance of your pool.
  2. Dosing optimization: By calibrating your Flipr, you maximize the efficiency of adding chemicals. This allows you to overdose or underdosing, which can lead to water quality problems.
  3. Problem Prevention: Precise measures through proper calibration help prevent potential problems such as algae growth, disease formation, or chemical balances.
  4. Saving time and money: By avoiding costly corrections and optimizing the use of chemicals, calibration allows you to save time and money in the long term.
  5. Equipment Sustainability: Regular calibration extends your Flipr's lifespan by ensuring it works optimally.

What is Fine Offline Calibration?

Fine Offline Calibration is a procedure to ensure maximum accuracy in monitoring the water quality of your pool. Unlike the initial calibration performed during installation, this new procedure allows you to achieve unqualified levels of accuracy. In particular, it makes it possible to avoid differences related to the impetus time of probes and contamination of calibration solutions.

But that's not all! One of the exceptional features of this procedure is that it can be achieved even when the Bluetooth connection is disrupted. You no longer have to worry about Bluetooth interference. Flipr now offers you the flexibility to calibrate your sensor at your convenience, whatever the situation.

This procedure will only work with an operational Flipr
For this procedure to work it is important that your Flipr sends regular measurements
The measures weyouask to take must be automatic and never manual

Fine calibration is made possible by the new expert view, which now displays the latest raw data and turns them into calibration data.

Fine calibration procedure

Fine Offline Calibration is simple but requires a little patience. This involves diving Flipr into calibration solutions, letting it perform measurements normally and then transforming them into calibration data.

Preliminary verification: Make sure you receive regular measurements.
Note the date and time of the last measure
Equip yourself with a calibration kit (Nine previous)

It is important to conduct operations for pH7 and pH4 in the order indicated.

Step 1: Remove Flipr out of your basin, remove the grid, rinse and carefully drain the probes

Step 2: Pour the contents of the bottle ofpH7in the calibration/storage cap and close the Flipr

Step 3: Make a coffee, take a book and wait for at least the next step

Wait 75 minutes minimum
Do not make manual measurement!

Step 4: Once a new measurement is made, turn the pH 7 calibration measure into pH 7

In the expert view, select the last measure (at the top of the list).
On Android, the options appear by clicking on the relevant line.
On iPhone (IOS), drag the measurement to the right to see the options appear.

Verify that the indicated pH value is close to 7
Click on pH 7
If the retained value is false, all data calculated by our algorithms will be false

Step 5: Remove the calibration cap, rinse and drain the probes thoroughly
You can possibly store the pH7 liquid for a few days if it has not been polluted
Polluted or too old buffer solution will lead to poor calibration

Step 6: Pour the contents of the bottle ofpH4in the calibration/storage cap and close the Flipr

..

Step 7: Go play with your kids, chat with your spouse... and wait at least the next step

Wait 75 minutes minimum
Do not make manual measurement!

Step 8: Once a new measurement is made, turn the pH 4 calibration measurement

In the expert view, select the last measure (at the top of the list).
On Android, the options appear by clicking on the relevant line.
On iPhone (IOS), drag the measurement to the right to see the options appear.

Verify that the indicated pH value is close to 4
Click on pH4
If the retained value is false, all data calculated by our algorithms will be false

Step 9: Remove the calibration cap, rinse and handle the probes
You can possibly store the pH4 liquid for a few days if it has not been polluted
Polluted or too old buffer solution will lead to poor calibration

Step 10: Control
The new calibration data can be found in the expert view.

Step 11: Put the protective grid and plunge your Flipr into the basin

In summary:
  1. Immersion pH7
  2. Measurement in pH7
  3. Transformation into pH7 calibration data
  4. Immersion pH4
  5. Measurement in pH4
  6. Transformation into pH4 calibration data
  7. End
