The Flipr application is a feature-rich platform that offers a wide array of screens designed to provide you with a comprehensive and personalized pool management experience. Due to this diversity, it would be impossible to provide a detailed description of every single feature within the app.
However, we want to assure you that we are doing our utmost to make using these screens as intuitive as possible. Our primary goal is to simplify pool management, save you time, and provide valuable insights into water quality.
We have designed our app with the user in mind, aiming to make each screen and function easily accessible. We have also included guides and tutorials to assist you in getting acquainted with the app and making the most of its features.

Installation and Setup of Flipr

Installing Flipr AnalysR is a swift procedure that typically consumes just a few minutes of your time. Before commencing the installation, please confirm that your smartphone has Bluetooth activated and is connected to either a cellular network or Wi-Fi. Also, ensure that your smartphone's geolocation feature is enabled. Throughout the installation, it's essential to remain in proximity to both the device and the pool.

For Flipr versions that come with the Wifi Connect gateway, like AnalysR 3, you'll require a secure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (open networks without a password won't be compatible).

Install the Flipr Application

The first step is to download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Create an account


            

After validation of your email address you will be guided to the first stages of the installation.
Note: If you do not receive the activation link, please tick your spam folder.

Place Creation

Flipr allows you to create two types of places: a swimming pool or a Spa. In the future, we will add new place types for specific uses, possibly with the commercialization of new devices.

      


Measuring physico-chemical water properties (Strip Test)

This is a crucial procedure that can be conducted at any time during the year, enabling our algorithms to gather information that isn't captured by the probes (Alkalinity, Hardness, Stabilizer). It is automatically suggested when you create a pool, but you can also update it from the expert menu. In addition to computations derived from this data, we now present qualitative analyses to assist you in maintaining the balance of your pool water (Taylor Balance, pH Balance, Langelier Index).

Currently, we offer a single type of test strip, but we are actively enhancing the application to allow the use of various Flipr brand test strips in the future.

The new "Flipr Strip7" strip test will soon be the exclusive strip test compatible with the Flipr APP.





Installation of your Flipr AnalysR

Right after setting up your Place, you'll be required to pair your Flipr AnalysR 3 (the same process applies to previous Flipr versions). This step is crucial as it establishes the connection between your device, your account, and your location. It's important to stay in close proximity to your Flipr during this process. Additionally, Fliprs that were initially in sleep mode will be reactivated to operate normally, with up to 20 measurements per day.

                   



If you receive a message indicating that Flipr is already linked to another account, please reach out to our support team. It's possible that we overlooked the disassociation of our test account during the quality assurance process.
If you receive a message stating that the Flipr is already linked to your account, it indicates that the device is already associated with your account, likely in another location.
Flipr probes are factory calibrated and functional. However, this calibration in the factory is more intended to test their operation that will have to be done for better accuracy.

The calibration of your device's probes is not offered immediately. You can do this from the expert menu and we will remind you with a rising window.
We now offer two calibration options:

Installing your Flipr Connect (Gateway - Flipr AnalysR 3)

Right after you complete the installation of your Flipr AnalysR 3, you'll be prompted to set up the Gateway (Flipr Connect).


The gateway must be installed in a dry location, protected from moisture and water.

In the case of Flipr AnalysR 3, it's essential to note that without a gateway, automatic measurements won't be taken.
If you decide to skip this step, you can always revisit it later from the preferences menu.
Prerequisites: A secure 2.4 GHz wifi with a password of less than 30 characters.
It may be necessary to separate wifi 2.4 networks from Wifi 5 networks and Wifi 6 Network.

Flipr ControlR can be scheduled to operate according to a set timetable, with only one schedule applicable at a time.

      

The definition of a schedule is done by selecting the applicable operating ranges and days.

Multi Places, multi Users

Flipr enables users to manage multiple Places, access Places they've been invited to, and invite other users to view their data.


This dashboard provides you with the ability to choose the active Place, add new ones, and access specific Place settings.

On this screen, you have the option to modify your location settings and delete it if needed.

Deleting a Place erases data from the Place as well as the devices connected to that Place.

Guests Screen





The sharing screen enables you to control access to your environment by granting or revoking reading permissions for guests.

The main menu gives you access to Flipr functions and settings:
  1. Maintenance book: history of events on your location.
  2. Pool house: pool treatment products in stock.
  3. Expert mode: calibrations, history, expert view, tests.
  4. Help: customer support.
  5. Parameters: the main parameters (user, devices, general settings).
  6. Connection: Connect from the application.

Flipr AI

Flipr AI is an AI-powered conversational engine designed to address all water treatment concerns. In its initial version, it will offer general information, but it will soon incorporate real-time data from your pool to provide more tailored and specific information.




User settings

The user settings screen enables you to review data within our system, update your application access password, and delete your account if desired.

The deletion of the account permanently erases all data, locations and equipment.






What you need to know about your Analyzer





Flipr AnalysR must imperatively stay in the water

When outside the water, the probes dry out and deteriorate rapidly, rendering the device non-functional.

Flipr AnalysR should not remain inwaters that are too cold or too hot

It is crucial to remove the device from your pool if the water temperature falls below 5°C (41°F) or exceeds 50°C (122°F). In such instances, store your device following our recommended guidelines.


Regular Calibration

To prolong the lifespan of the probes and maintain precise measurements, it is advisable to calibrate the device annually at the beginning of the season (twice a year if your pool is in use for more than 6 months per year).


Attention to shocks

Flipr AnalysR is a robust device designed to accompany you during your swimming activities. Nevertheless, exercise caution to avoid severe impacts that could potentially harm the probes.



Do not take up the device

Any technical alterations to the device must receive approval from our technical support team. Engaging in technical modifications without the endorsement of technical support may void the warranty.



Notes on probes


Flipr AnalysR is a measuring device equipped with Redox, pH, and temperature probes. These probes are not suitable for certain applications, such as water testing outside of the treatments recommended by Flipr or in pools affected by electrical leakage currents. When used as intended, the device is guaranteed to operate within a tolerance range of +/- 1.5°C, +/- 0.2 pH, and +/- 100 mV RX. Warranty coverage does not apply if measurements fall outside of this tolerance range. As a user, we encourage you to consult the warranty documentation included in the device package, typically found near the settings. Additionally, we want to highlight that an excessive concentration of stabilizer in a pool can interfere with accurate readings, potentially distorting the information provided by the device. It's also important to be aware that an excessive stabilizer concentration can reduce the effectiveness of chlorine in the water.
